How to change UPI pin in Google Pay step-by-step


Google pay is one of the easiest ways to transfer money from one account to another. Like Paytm, PhonePe, Mobikwik Google Pay is also a digital wallet that is linked directly to your bank account. Google Pay allows you to pay the bills, book tickets and more directly through your bank account, you don’t have to add the amount in the wallet.

While linking the bank account with Google Pay wallet you need to set a 4 digit UPI( Unified Payment Interface) Pin. However, if you have already created the UPI pin for your bank account then you can use it for the Google pay wallet as well.

In this blog, I will tell you “how to change UPI pin in Google Pay” or if you forget your pin then “how you can reset it”. Just follow the instructions carefully.
If you entered the wrong pin thrice then you end up blocking your Google pay account for 24 hours, So follow the instructions carefully.

How to Change UPI Pin in Google pay:

  1. Open Google Pay app and tap on your profile photo (Top left corner).
  2. Now, tap on the Payment method and select the bank account.
  3. After selecting the bank account, tap on the three dots on the top right corner and select the change UPI pin.
  4. Now, enter your current UPI pin in the “Enter UPI Pin Field” and enter the new pin you want to add in the “Set UPI Pin Field”.
  5. Now after adding the new pin tap on the tick and it’s done. You have changed your UPI Pin

How to Reset UPI pin in Google pay:

  1. Open Google pay and select the bank account.
  2. Tap on your bank account and then tap on the “Forget UPI Pin”.
  3. After adding the details, tap on the blue icon on the bottom right corner.
  4. Now enter the OTP and then enter the ATM Pin. That’s it you have reset your Google pay UPI pin.

Be secure while making payments to others and never share your pin and OTP with others, If you share they can transfer all your money to their accounts.
