LENOVO Z5 PRO GT: FIRST SMARTPHONE WITH SNAPDRAGON 855

OVERVIEW

Lenovo unveiled it’s new smartphone Z5 Pro GT alongside Z5s and launched it in China. This smartphone is a power packed smartphone having Snapdragon 855 chipset, which was announced earlier this month by Qualcomm. Apart from this, Lenovo Z5 Pro GT also becomes the first smartphone with 12GB of RAM. Lenovo will launch it in India in January 2019.

Lenovo claims that the 12GB version smartphone will let you open 50 Apps at the same time. This smartphone runs on Android Pie.

There isn’t any notch in the screen. Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has a slider design that brings selfie camera with a slide and same for the face unlock.

Price of Z5 Pro GT in China is set at CNY 2,698 (around Rs 27,700) for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage

CNY 2,998 (around Rs 30,800) for 8GB RAM and 128GB storage

CNY3,398 (around 34,700) for 8Gb RAM and 256GB storage

CNY4,398(around 45,000Rs) for 12GB RAM and 512GB storage

All four variants will be available for pre-orders in China from 15 January and sale will begin from 24 January. Details about Globel launch is yet to be announced.

SPECIFICATIONS

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has 6.39-inch full HD+(1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display with 2.07mm ultra narrow bezels which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Z5 Pro GT is packed with Octa-core Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset which was launched earlier this month.

This smartphone runsZUI 10.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie

Lenovo packs 4 cameras in this new smartphone two at the front and two at the back.

16MP front-facing sensor with a f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 8MP IR sensor for face unlock.

16MP Sony IMX519 sensor along with a f/1.8 aperture and dual-tone LED flash alongside a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor along with a f/1.8 aperture.

In display fingerprint sensor along with face unlock.

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT comes in 4 options: 6GB RAM with 128 GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage.

Lenovo packed Z5 Pro GT with 3,350mAh of battery with fast charging.

Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, NFC

Lenovo Z5 Pro GT doesn’t support 5G but Lenovo Vice President confirmed that this smartphone will be the first smartphone with 5G support so, we can accept the Z5 Pro GT with 5G support next year.

Lenovo is unlikely to launch this smartphone in the Indian market in the near future as the company reduced the number of launches in the Indian Market.
